I’m Sarah, a dancer and anthropologist -in-training.

Currently, I am a PhD student in Anthropology at the University of California, Irvine and the director of Metaphysical Playthings.

  • Sarah founded the x2 Dance Collective alongside Brynn Bodair and served as co-director, choreographer, and principal performer from 2018 - 2022.

    She has danced with DIAVOLO | Architecture in Motion as a second company member and guest artist and as a founding member of Esperanza Dance Project and the Paul Taylor Teen Ensemble. As a freelance artist, she has performed at The Getty, The Metropolitan Museum, Lincoln Center Festival and Spoleto Festival USA in works by Merce Cunningham, Rebecca Lemme, Marjani Forte-Saunders, Paul Taylor, and Gwen Welliver, among others.

    Sarah has been on faculty at California State University, Long Beach and has taught ballet, modern, and contemporary forms at various high schools, colleges and universities, and studios in Southern California, New York, and Arizona.
